                      Saturday 6th July
Another hot night, bright sunny morning. Drove into Vallon-Pont-D'arc. Stopped for lunch and got some info but not impressed so no pics. Drove S.E. into the Gorges-de-l'Ardeche at the start is a natural arch of which there is a better view a bit further up but only small layby and usually full with cars.
Drove on and stopped at the top for the views.

Quite a few visitors come here.On this occasion five bus loads of Germans.

Turned East at this point onto D4 out of the gorge through St. Remeze to Bourg-St-Andeol where we stayed in a large car park/aire next to Lidls  for the night.
Free with free water                                 61 Kms.
                       Sunday 7th July
Not a very quiet spot. Goods trains and very busy road alongside.Topped up the water and continued on our way. Drove East on D59 over Canal de Donzere-Mondragon and the Autoroute du Soleil (A7) into St.-Paul-Trois-Chateau where there is a large carpark and aire (follow signs for Ancient Quarter) It is a very busy carpark especially on market day which is over the road in the Ancient Quarter and the aire parking isn't anywhere special. You just park where you can. Free services in bottom L/H corner which is behind where I took the photo from. Tourist Information is attached to building in back of the picture.

Watched some tennis on the telly. Don't remember who was playing. Got it, Andy Murray V. Novak Djokovic.

                    Monday 8th July

Decided to stay the day. Wandered into the Ancient Quarter which is just across the road behind the tourist info. centre
All the entertainment you could want.
And market day as well.
Thought we might visit a church for a change.
Then went back to Archie to be met with a huge thunderstorm, so left the satellite disc down and watched a DVD for the evening.
                     Tuesday 9th July
Rain gone, bright and hot again. Any people who know this place will know the market is on Tuesday, which is when we visited it really so move yesterdays visit to the market to here. Will sort it one day. After going to the market we emptied our waste and filled up our water which was a bit of a fight because people visiting the market park everywhere then hit the road South to Bollene, then West on the N86 to Pont-St-Esprit, over the pretty bridge to the roundabout, straight across and immediately right into the tourist info car park which is also an aire. We parked here got sme info about the town and wandered  back across the roundabout to take a better look at the bridge.
                            Parking outside Tourist Info.
Several churches about but needing sympathetic restoration.
                                      Some are getting it.
A view of the bridge we drove over on the way in.
Found a church
we could go in.

After visiting the church we went back to Archie and went on our way. Drove back through the Gorges -de-la-Ardeche,

and went  back to St-Alban-Auriolles where we stayed a few days ago and stayed the night.
