Meet Polly and Mick

Polly and Mick, a husband and wife team, started House and Petsitting in February,2007. Prior to that they had run a manor house near to Salisbury Wilts for almost ten years. Mick as gardener, chauffeur, handyman. Polly as Housekeeper, cook and nanny.Having Sam their dog, two cats and looking after the manor house pets as well.It was decided by Polly and Mick in late 2006 that because of deterioration in the discs in Micks back, running a manor house and garden was not the best thing to do, and although the Lord and Lady of the manor did their best to persaude them to stay on with some help, they left the manor in January 2007 and started House and Petsitting with a bit of previous advertizing, and some friends of the Lord and Lady who needed a House and petsitter  immediately.Micks problems affect heavy sustained work but is quite capable of any jobs required to looking after animals. The brief is to come to the clients house when the owners need to go away for any reason, holiday or family illness.  Either one or both will live in the house for security and look after the pets until they return.   Visits just to walk and feed or take the pets home  to look after are not undertaken.    If the client does not want inhouse security Polly and Mick travel with a 26ft  modern motorhome which can be sited and lived in accordingly.

Dear Polly and Mick

Words cannot express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding professional and caring service that you provided for us with the care of Max and Molly.  When we found out that Max would need to spend 6 weeks in a cage convalescing from his leg operation I was distraught at the prospect of finding someone who could provide the love and care that he deserves.  With a St Bernard and a Dogue de Bordeaux we needed someone whom they would respect but who would also provide the loving environment that they are used to with us.

Your bond with both of them was instant, 2 big dogs can be intimidating at first but you had no fear and it has been a joy to see the bond that you have with both of them.  The post-operative care and physio that you provided to Max was exemplary, if he didn’t trust you there is no way with teeth that size you could make him ! You provided total relief and comfort to us over the 6 weeks knowing that they were being looked after in the best possible way when we were out at work.

We were also impressed that Mick’s rapport with animals extended to horses, his help with Jessica with Mac when I had to go to Switzerland at short notice was so appreciated.

We were all sad when the six weeks ended to say goodbye but will definitely use your services again!  I am sure that you have many many references but please add us to your list.

Yours sincerely
